The NYT reports that infamous DSK was detained overnight over accusations of cavorting with prostitutes and orgies in Paris and Washington, paid for by businessmen, possibly with government money.
A lawyer for Mr. Strauss-Kahn appeared to confirm that he had attended the events, saying that his client would not have been aware if the women who entertained him were prostitutes.
“He could easily not have known, because as you can imagine, at these kinds of parties you’re not always dressed, and I challenge you to distinguish a naked prostitute from any other naked woman,”

You guys should get out more. Puritanism is so tedious. Chris I will donate $500 to a charity of your choice if you go to an open sex party and come back with a certainty about the professional status of all participants.
Maybe it’s just that lawyers argue about law, not “morals”. Prostitution is legal in both France & Belgium, paying for prostitutes is too, the only illegal thing is pimping, which you cannot do without distinguishing the prostitutes. DSK may be a crazy sex addict, but he knows how to choose lawyers.
If you are 50 and running a paunch and the naked woman is 20ish and attractive, she is a prostitute.
Actually I think it’s just a legal defense.
And his wife still supports him.
