- Asked how we met
- Spent ten minutes going through our travel photos asking what the countries were like
- Out in 15 minutes, approved for permanent residence

So I guess even Yale academics stereotype and have bit a prejudice in them too, huh? Only against the approved classes though, like white men with crew cuts. Probably a former a military guy (you know how wacko those people are). Change the color or the sex, and then it’s wrong, right?

They asked my hubby what my parent’s names were. He said ‘baba Wanjiru’ and ‘mama Wanjiru’. He would never have reason to address them by their first names.
Still got the card though.
