  1. Woodie Guthrie album “Songs To Grow On For Mother And Child”. So so perfect. And its Woodie! Current song favorites: I Want My Milk (I Want it Now) – kid’s, Why, Oh Why? – mine. And also, not from this album, but Woodie’s another kid song – Car song (Riding in my car) – pure genius for tots!

  2. Try Dan Zanes for fun folky kid songs. Laurie Berkner has a lot of albums all of which are original and good. Right now our go to album is Jack Johnson’s Curious George soundtrack which is terrific if you like Jack Johnson.

  3. Try “The Song That Never Ends” sung by Lamb Chop. Once she learns it, check yourself into a mental health facility.

  4. Try “The wheels on the bus” by Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers!! In fact, the whole “Rock ‘n’ Roll with the Modern Lovers” album is a great for kids and adults!

  5. Our little one is hooked on Gilberto Gil’s tribute to Bob – she loves his version of kaya and can’t stop singing it.

  6. Sympathies Chris. I managed to get my kids hooked on a bedtime medley of Bandiera Rossa (with clenched fists), Nkosi Sikelel iafrica and the Dirty Blackleg Miner. Never failed to make me laugh and now-grown-up kids both doing leftie things, so didn’t act as vaccination.
