- When I pointed to the most expensive item on Amazon, I had not read the customer reviews. Must read.
- MIT pushes free education further
- Ben Goldacre’s TED talk on Bad Science. My only quibble: a mischaracterization of the publication bias paper.
- After my Portlandia recommendation, Trey (a reliable source) suggested two other excellent, vaguely unknown programs. I just watched and can vouch for at least the first.
- The problem with intellectual property in the US
I can second Trey’s recommendation of ‘The League.’ Give it a few episodes to warm up to the show, but it is excellent whether you care about fantasy football or not.
Thanks for the the link to the amazon customer reviews. One would not want to make an uninformed decision!
And I will vouch for Party Down. Starts off a little slow also, but definitely worth it. I have a whole new admiration for Adam Scott after watching.
Still laughing at the reviews. Brilliant! Thank you for the link.
And did you see the comment on the description from the seller… classic.
Party Down is excellent, it was sad to watch the last episode.
Yes, Party Down was fantastic and even my TV literate friends hadn’t heard of it. Air Canada was showing it on their system for free or I would never have known.
