Planet of the grapes

From Strange Maps, per capita wine consumption by country:
Click to enlarge. Poor little Canada is smooshed by France and Croatia, while the US lags to the right of Italy.

I’m not helping; I have given up wine for at least a month, after frighteningly high habitual levels of consumption. It’s an experiment, sample size one.

P.S. Why won’t Blogger let me enlargen pictures?

  1. I (hiccup) live in Portugal and I (hiccup) can say with confidence (sip sip) that the map is correct…zzz (hiccup)

  2. He he… I liked that one. You took of ‘poor little Canada…’ It took me good 10 minutes to find Polonia there… he he…

  3. Sadly, based on their scale it looks like they made the radii proportional to wine consumption per capita, not area. So differences that look huge in that visualization are not nearly so huge.
